Still in ICU. One month in. Learning to walk again

Clip from Big Sister Sarah's CaringBridge:

To you, watching it may be a reality check for how severe this injury was. For us, this video was the most hopeful thing we had seen in 18 days. https://youtu.be/xVpgaPYfwco

You can see her spastic arm curled up, her right foot drop, and only one little eye could open at that time.  You can see the nurse trying to untangle the tubes as Sophie walked down the hall and away from the chair they had sat her in.  They were not ready for her to walk!  This was the first time we had posted a picture or video. It was the most beautiful thing I had seen since she was born.  In many ways this was the beginning of her rebirth and in typical Sophie style she proved everyone wrong.  One thing you should never do is to bet against this kid!

Aphasia in action.   https://youtu.be/iHSef3Xo2-A - 9 months in

Sophie one year update.  https://youtu.be/n3K57EgZobM

Just moved into an apartment again with her dog. Learning to read again. Aphasia is still very much there. Eye therapy glasses.
